Gypsum Retarder is a class of chemical admixtures specially used to prolong the initial and final setting time of gypsum-based materials. Yuanlian Chemical produces a variety of gypsum retarders, including white or brown powder and liquid form, which are easily soluble in water, non-toxic and non-flammable. The dosage is usually only 0.02% - 0.5% of the gypsum mass, but the operating time can be extended from a few minutes to 0.5 - 5 hours. It is one of the key components in the production of modern gypsum dry-mixed mortars, self-leveling, plastering, putty and gypsum products.

Yuanlian Chemical mainly produces the following four types of gypsum retarders:
WN-602, a new amino acid gypsum retarder;
WN-701, a novel alkaline resistant amino acid retarder for gypsum;
WN-721, a novel alkaline resistant amino acid retarder for gypsum;
WN-602-L, a novel amino acid retarder (liquid) for gypsum.
